Dmitry Ivashintsov studied drawing and painting under the Petersburg artists such as Nikolai Sazhin, Vyacheslav Panfilov, Zilia Butman and others at the Art School named after V. Serov (now Art College named after Nicholas Roerich) in Saint Petersburg. Dmitry artwork ranges from the abstract and symbolist painting to printing and exhibition design, but drawing from nature still remains an important source of inspiration for the artist, the basis for his graphic art and painted artworks.
